SET TOURS SAFETY POLICY

Set Tours the organisers have the following safety notice to all participants

Safety:

Your group’s safety has always been our top priortity.

Our focus on safety management and our approach to working with group leaders to meet their own local SMS and risk assessment guidelines are one of the main reasons we enjoy so much repeat business. We are full members of the School Travel Forum (STF).

All Full Members of the STF adhere to a rigorous Code of Practice and Safety Management Standards which meet the requirements of DfES guidelines and are externally verified each year by suitably qualified independent Health and Safety professionals.

During the course of developing the STF Code of Practice, and in addition to liaising with the DfES, advice has been sought from all leading educational Unions and Associations. The STF initiative is welcomed by the Outdoor Education Advisors Panel (OEAP) and the DfES. It has the support of the SHA, NAHT, ATL, NUT, PAT and the NASUWT advises members wishing to organise school trips to use companies that have this type of scheme.

As a company working in diverse markets with both adults, young adults and children, our SMS aims include:
Facilitating and promoting a positive health and safety culture throughout our own, our clients’ and our suppliers’ organisations worldwide.

Planning and setting safety standards, which meet the needs of our clients and are measurable, achievable and realistic.

Measuring and reviewing performance of our compliance with the terms of this standard and our own Safety Management System including a formal annual verification by a suitably qualified external expert.
The Company agreeing to make available to clients details of Audits and a copy of the annual external verification.

Our SMS covers:

  • 24 hour Emergency Cover and Incident Management

  • Transport & Accommodation Auditing

  • Group Leader’s Inspection Visits

  • Pre-Tour Safety Guide
